Between the Tides
When I draw a fish, I am not drawing a contemporary animal. I am drawing an archive: a form carrying evolutionary time, cultural memory, and personal history at once.
Each work begins in observation. As it develops, something less predictable emerges—an interior logic I do not fully control. The titles arrive in the same way, during the act of drawing rather than after.
Each work is resolved in form but remains open in meaning.
